Estupenda Marquez

Estupenda Márquez is a creator, communicator, and LGTBIQA+ activist born in Torremolinos, a city she proudly represents although she developed her academic and professional career in places such as Madrid, London, and especially Buenos Aires, with which she maintains a strong bond. Her voice, at once critical, ironic, and fresh, has become one of the most distinctive in queer and feminist communication in Spain. On her social media, she combines humor with social analysis, questioning hegemonic narratives and launching viral sections such as Personajes queerstóricos and Desmontando el lenguaje patriarcal. Beyond the digital space, Estupenda also thrives on stages and in the streets. She hosts events, manages and energizes cultural spaces, develops her artistic side through illustration, writes and collaborates with different media outlets, gives talks, and sometimes performs as a DJ. Her versatility has led her to collaborate with institutions, festivals, and media including Apoyo Positivo, La Térmica, Centro Cultural de España in Buenos Aires, the French Film Festival of Málaga, La Baltasara (Antonio Gala House Museum), Federación Estatal LGTBI+, Fulanita Fest, and Revista SIX, among others. In 2024 she received the Fundación Triángulo Andalucía Award for LGTBIQ+ Visibility on Social Media, a recognition that underscores her role as a voice for diversity and dissent. Authentic, irreverent, and with a constantly transformative perspective, Estupenda Márquez turns every project into a space to amplify LGTBIQA+ voices, open debates, and build new ways of understanding the social and the political through humor and irony.
